Partner & Business Developer

To support our business growth, particularly in the wholesale segment, GPBM France is recruiting a Partner & Business Developer to the GP Consumer division, who offers a wide range of GP products as for example consumer batteries, charging equipment and lighting.
Reporting directly to the Consumer Sales Director in France, you will coordinate all major account relations and the development of the wholesale network. You will enhance the company's brand image and manage commercial activities with partner wholesalers, supporting them in their retail client relationships. You will also prospect for new distribution networks and work towards deploying national listings.
Your Responsibilities
1. Portfolio Management and Development
- Identify growth drivers in partnership with the Sales Manager.
- Detect wholesale players in each market and implement tailored strategies.
- Adapt offers to meet the specific needs of each client and brand with a personalized approach.
- Generate new development opportunities : identify and contact decision-makers, analyse potential business opportunities, and select and prioritize according to strategic framework.
- Be a market and client specialist, gather and analyse macro/micro market data (consumption trends, competition, brand strategies, distribution landscape, etc.).
- Manage and secure a portfolio of key existing accounts.
2. Negotiations and Revenue Growth
- Conduct market analysis to identify sector players (specialists and indirect accounts) and new growth opportunities in energy and portable lighting categories, converting them into new business.
- Negotiate and implement commercial policies.
- Always have ears close to the market to adopt act on market influencing factors.
- Support partner wholesalers: participate in three-way meetings (wholesalers and retail clients), train client teams, attend trade shows and client events.
3. Partnerships and Customer Service
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and distributors while collaborating with global teams to align objectives.
- Develop and implement strategic plans to meet sales and market expansion goals.
- Lead marketing and promotional actions to strengthen brand visibility and enhance customer engagement.
- Promote the various group brands.
- Offer premium customer service : anticipate needs, respond promptly, and provide strategic advice to reinforce brand positioning.
4. Commercial Excellence
- Plan and communicate forecasts and business plans at the European level.
- Synchronize with the European team to share insights and opportunities.
- Work closely with the NIF team to propose and develop new projects to increase our market share.
- Manage client budgets as well as clients client, forecasts, and product assortment.
Your profile
- Passion for client relations and business development.
- Dynamic, proactive, autonomous, with an entrepreneurial spirit.
- Experience as a Key Account Manager or Business Developer in a B2B environment with technical products, experience in retail and e-commerce.
- Knowledge and relationships within the retail market.
- Understand the stakeholder landscape and cater multiple stakeholder interests.
- Dynamic, agile, autonomous, curious, action- and results-oriented, with a strong team and company spirit.
- Committed to meeting the expectations and requirements of both internal and external clients.
- Skilled in risk analysis and problem-solving.
- Able to manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize effectively.
- Proficiency in French and English, both written and spoken, is essential.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, with the ability to work with numbers.
Additional information
Position: Full-time, permanent position.
Scope: National territory (France), with International tentacles.
Dynamic remuneration based on profile and experience: base salary + variable + benefits and company vehicle.
